There are specific times in my life, usually when I am facing a rough time and someone will appear who is sent from God. I feel that I had a nurse who was that person. I am 68 years old and the nurse who went above and beyond is in their 20s. I give this detail because the age gap could have caused us not to connect on a deeper level. This is not the case with this nurse. Salim is not only an excellent nurse but connects with people in a way that makes you know you are talking to someone who genuinely cares.

Salim looks into your soul and lets you know that you are not alone. He is so calm and helps you know to take one step at a time and that life is still worth living. I believe that Salim was born to be a caregiver. I do not think that these skills as a listener and counselor can be taught. I believe that I was blessed to have my nurse for the nights that I was here. I will never forget the care and compassion that I received while he was my nurse. So, Salim, thank you for your kindness, support, and compassion during a time of uncertainty for me. I feel honored to have had you as my nurse! I can’t imagine the number of lives that you will continue to bless!
