She checked up on him regularly. One time in particular, she knew my dad had a bad day, and she stopped by to tell him that he had been doing a great job and to continue to see the blessings he had instead of focusing on a tough task or day.
Our 83-year-old father was a patient for 3 weeks. Sally was not only his nurse many times while he was there but she also became his friend. From the first day we came to rehab, Sally was very kind and friendly. She made sure to make my dad feel welcome and also us, his family. Even when Sally was not his nurse for the day, she would make sure to say hello to him. She checked up on him regularly. One time in particular, she knew my dad had a bad day, and she stopped by to tell him that he had been doing a great job and to continue to see the blessings he had instead of focusing on a tough task or day. My father was happy to be encouraged by Sally and thanked her for her caring ways. Every day, her knowledge and skills were evident. She stayed later at night. In fact, one night, in particular, she made sure his doctor knew about the medication the previous hospital had recommended. The other hospital had reached out to me about the medication. That night, Sally made sure to contact the doctor and to note my father’s file while reading this. This was very important medication. She took the time to do this, showing her diligence to get the job done correctly. She has awesome skills and is very caring. We knew that if my father ever had a concern (or his family), we could ask Sally about it, and she would make sure it was taken care of. She really made it easier for us to know she was around and genuinely cared about my father’s well-being.
