Sally exemplifies the caring and healing spirit of the OB department. Her nominations include the following quotes:
"After having C-section my baby was taken directly to NICU and after several hours of having not seen him, I learned he was going to another hospital. I was saddened as I had yet to meet him and hold him. Sally came in my room shortly after and after hearing about this, ran and got me pictures and then helped me into a wheelchair and brought me to the nursery to finally hold him before he was taken away. She took our first pics and gave me so much peace. She went above and beyond. I will always be grateful and remember what she did for me."
"During my induction, Sally took extra steps in providing me with educational materials, models, and books to explain the birthing process. This is my first child and by her explaining these things I was more aware of what was happening in my body. She was also prompt in her care when I pushed the call light and checked on me throughout her shift. What I like the most is when she came to see me and my daughter the next day to see if we were okay. She checked on us even when we weren't her patients."
Thank you, Sally, for your continued and compassionate service to our Native American families.
