I had a patient in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that required IV access. After multiple attempts to obtain an IV were unsuccessful, a plan for possible emergency placement of a Broviac was made. I called Children's ED and asked for help! Sam was willing to leave his busy unit after finding coverage for his patients and come place an IV via ultrasound. Sam always has a great attitude and is willing to help. He saved this kid from having to have surgery that night!
