In 2022, Samah joined the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) as a registered nurse in the Medical-Surgical Unit on the 8th floor. Over the past two years, Samah's professionalism and dedication have been evident in her daily work. She always goes the extra mile to support her patients, their families, and the unit. She provides outstanding nursing care with a comprehensive, patient-centered approach of the highest caliber.

I would like to nominate Samah for the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses due to her exceptional and compassionate care for a breast cancer patient admitted to our unit with signs and symptoms of liver failure. Samah’s support for her patient was remarkable, as she went beyond the call of duty to provide not only excellent nursing care but also emotional and physical support during very challenging days.

The patient’s family expressed heartfelt gratitude for Samah’s attentiveness and her ability to ease their loved one’s anxiety. During my morning rounds, I met the patient’s husband, who shared how Samah provided comfort during the most difficult moments, offering reassurance when his wife was frightened. "Samah's calm presence and clear explanations of each procedure helped alleviate our concerns and addressed our questions. Her compassionate care and genuine attitude made a profound impact. Her support can’t be forgotten," the patient’s husband stated.

In fact, Samah embodies the true essence of the nursing profession, and her actions exemplify the mission and values of KHCC. Her dedication and empathy make her a true DAISY Nurse.
