Sam’s patient care is personalized. When Sam is your nurse, she will refer to you by your name when speaking to you. You don’t feel like “just another patient”. She addressed me as Ms. C every time she asked me a question or was giving me education on something. I was seated inside the ED with other patients in a row of chairs and I could not help but notice that Sam gave this same individualized personal care to each of her patients, not just me! We all had a name! To Sam, we were regarded highly and treated with so much dignity and respect. Sam is a compassionate nurse.
