Sam has extreme patience, not only with my Dad and with me but with nurses, family, and other patients. It is truly something to witness. She has composure beyond her years and is so genuine and kind. We had several times when my Dad's pain or medication required extra attention. Sam was pleasant and sweet and competent every single time.
Sam also went to bat for us when my Dad's medication needs were complicated and unique. Specifically, Sam called and worked with the doctor and pharmacist about letting us use the antibiotic from home care since it had already been paid for. Sam also worked to get my Dad's pain medication increased when he was in a lot of pain. She really worked to make sure all my Dad's needs were met. She treated us like we were the only ones on the floor.
We greatly appreciated Sam's extraordinary care we were in the hospital. I cannot tell you how much it meant to us to have such a caring, and attention-oriented nurse. We felt so at ease and very included in our care during our entire stay.
