This was my first pregnancy and Sam was so knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. I was a scheduled induction but was experiencing difficulty with the thickness of my uterus, so Dr. W presented the option for a C-section. With this being my first pregnancy, I was nervous, but Sam comforted me and told me that she had her two babies by C-Section and she answered every question I had concerning the procedure.
When I was confused about something, Sam took the extra time to explain it another way or in more depth. She brought complete peace to my overall experience and I am so grateful for her sweet energy and loving spirit.
I also want to highlight that Sam stayed with me a little past her 12-hour shift. The doctor was having me prepped for my C-Section around 6:05 so the next shift could administer the procedure. While being prepped they administered the epidural, and with this being my first baby and being 2 weeks overdue I could not get my position in a favorable angle but Sam coached me and allowed me to hold her tightly which allowed them to successfully place the epidural. Prior to leaving her shift, I was on the table and Sam let me know she was now leaving and congratulated me on our new baby boy.
