Samantha Clement, RN

Samantha Clement is the Healthcare Program Manager at Lunenburg CC. There was a situation at a nearby facility, Nottoway CC, where we needed administrative coverage for 2 weeks. I had heard from her co-workers how knowledgeable she was and what a team player she was. I asked her if she could assist in this situation. She immediately agreed and went over and beyond what was expected. She entered all information in DOCTime to prevent agency nurses from not getting paid and assisted in staffing when needed. Her attitude is always positive, and she looks for the good in every situation which I saw firsthand. She tackles every situation in a calm manner. Ms. Clement also carried it a step further and encouraged her nurses to assist in the staffing crisis at Nottoway, which helped provide additional coverage. Ms. Clement models the way for her staff and is an exemplary model for the Department of Corrections. She makes patient safety a priority and addressed significant issues while at Nottoway CC.
