In the morning, Sam came to us and ensured we had everything we needed. She returned mid-morning to check in again and asked if we were comfortable, if anything was on our mind, and whether we had someone we wanted to acknowledge for their kindness. Her dedication to our well-being was palpable.
Later that day, the pharmacy processed a new order for Eliquis to begin immediately, overlooking that my mom had already taken baby aspirin earlier. Thankfully, Sam caught this just in time. With swift but careful intervention, she communicated the oversight to the pharmacy and had the dosage timing adjusted appropriately.
As a charge nurse, Sam has a lot on her plate, but her vigilance and proactive approach truly reassured us. Her care underlined why we continue choosing Huntington Hospital, even from Arcadia, because of amazing nurses like Sam.
