Samantha Hicks, MSN, RN, SCRN

Samantha has changed the culture in the Neuro ICU Department. Over the last year, she has demonstrated and implemented a united team atmosphere. She has turned the unit from a place no RN wanted to be to now making it THE place to be. From conversations, she is very personable with her staff and is very accommodating to make sure they have the resources needed to be successful. As the team grew, the confidence grew from her team to trust her as a leader. She is always on the floor to assist with patients and shows a presence that is respected by her staff. I have seen her step out of work and interact at events and celebrate milestones with her team as they achieve them. When new implementations come through, she makes it a priority with her leadership staff to be all hands on deck to educate her team. Sam has done a tremendous job and deserves this recognition!
