Samantha was taking care of a patient who was hospitalized unexpectedly and the following day was the patient’s birthday. He had friends and relatives coming to town to celebrate with him but was going to miss it due to being hospitalized. Samantha found this out and connected with a family member and they put together a surprise birthday party for the patient in the hospital cafeteria. The patient was so surprised and happy that it brought tears to his eyes. Samantha provides excellent care to all patients and treats all with respect and compassion.
