Samantha Kemp, RN

I have unfortunately been in the hospital a lot since being severely injured in the line of duty. I can honestly say in the 400 plus nights I have spent in a hospital, I have never encountered a more professional, courteous, polite, and exceptional nurse like Samantha. I entered the hospital at St. Joe after transferring from Providence Hospital. I arrived here in a bad mood already. Samantha took pride in her hospital, her profession, and truly serving her patients. She took me from angry and upset to smiling and comfortable in just 5 minutes. She was early to everything. She treated me as if I was the most important thing in her world. She treated me with dignity and respect. While she is small in stature, she is a giant as a nurse and person. Samantha showed more compassion than everyone I know. She took my concerns personally and even when I said, "I'm fine," she knew I wasn’t and addressed it. Please honor this most respectful and professional nurse, caregiver, and human being in Michigan.
