Recently, Sam went above and beyond to ensure the proper transfer and continuity of care for a patient who required chemotherapy. She took the time to coordinate every detail, ensuring the patient’s needs were met and that the transition was smooth and stress-free.

Sam did not stop there. She ensured that all appropriate orders were placed and personally contacted the oncology team to confirm that the patient would receive his chemotherapy treatment on time and without complications. Her proactive approach prevented delays and safeguarded the patient’s treatment plan, demonstrating her strong commitment to clinical excellence.

What truly stood out was Sam’s ability to connect with the patient on a personal level. During their conversation, the patient shared that during previous hospitalizations, staff would watch football with him, a gesture that made him feel cared for and understood.
