Samantha McCarthy, MSN, RN

Professor McCarthy is the kind of nursing teacher that everybody needs. She got me through; she never stopped believing I could do it, and that's very important when trying to get through nursing school. She works so hard to give SUNY Canton the best nursing program it can offer. She wants all her students to pass and become RNs, and for that, I will always be grateful to her. Professor McCarthy consistently demonstrates strong clinical competence by effectively connecting classroom learning to the clinical setting. In the lab, she ensures students not only perform skills correctly but also understand the rationale behind them, promoting critical thinking and safe patient care. She integrates evidence-based practice into her teaching and reinforces the importance of applying knowledge in clinical settings.
