December 2023 Honoree
Samantha Moellenhoff, BSN, RN
Sam’s work ethic defines extraordinary. She consistently provides therapeutic listening and expert advice for our families in crisis. Families call and ask for her because they remember her kindness. She greets everyone, families and coworkers alike, with a beautiful smile and a warm greeting. She spends as much time as needed for each of our families. Just last week, she counseled an anxious father for nearly an hour. He called back 2 hours later with more questions, and she spent another 45 minutes with him, never once sounding frustrated or unkind.
Sam has been instrumental in working with our Child Advocacy centers, helping them expand their knowledge in pediatric care, assisting in their reaccreditation, and being a source of support to our primary referral centers. She has taken a huge interest in child physical abuse and is working closely with Dr Kutz to expand our services in that area. She does all this with grace, compassion, and humor. She is a shining example of how to work with families in crisis.
