Samantha took care of my father-in-law for almost all of his infusion appointments for 6 months. She always had a smile on her face and knew how to make my father-in-law smile, even on days he was not feeling very well. She genuinely cared about him and listened contently to him when he spoke to her. Even for infusions that she was not able to be his nurse for, she would make an effort to stop by and check up on him. After he finished his infusion treatments he would come to the Cancer Center for various other appointments and she would always pop in and check on him then as well. My father-in-law always talks about how wonderful and kind she is/was to him. Another great example of how extraordinary she is when my father-in-law was admitted to the hospital for a stroke. She would often ask how he was doing and told me she was always thinking of him and hoping for the best outcome for him. She even went as far as writing him a warm and caring card for encouragement for his recovery. My father-in-law said that what she wrote was very considerate and really lifted his spirits. He continues to say how amazing she is, and how he's never had such a wonderful nurse. Samantha Montgomery is a wonderful nurse and all around amazing person. Thank you!
