I brought my wife into the ER, and Samantha saw us and instantly came around the desk and greeted us. She helped us to our room and reassured me that the team assigned to us was top-notch, and would take good care of us. My wife was struggling and needed to be moved to the Trauma room.

I found myself surrounded by 10 to 15 nurses and doctors. Samantha came into the room and immediately walked over to me and gave me a hug and told me I was surrounded by experts she would want to take care of her if she needed medical attention. She knelt down next to me for several minutes, reassuring me we were in great hands.

Before she left to return to her other patients, she let me know what was happening and what would happen next, as my wife was being transferred to the ICU. I so appreciated her empathy and the thoughtful, kind, calming reassurance she displayed throughout the entire experience.

I personally felt supported as I watched my wife be taken care of. I had confidence in all of the caregivers because of the trust and confidence Samantha was showing. Despite the scary situation, I felt the support of the entire trauma team and how they each collaborated and worked together to get my wife to a stable, safe place.
