She made my grieving process easier and that I thank her with all my heart. I may never be able to get my brother back, but she helped make the last days with him memorable. One day I really hope Samantha reads this and knows that she healed a family, she helped a 16-year-old feel better about a horrible situation.
My brother E was 20 years old he was in a very critical state due to brain injury. We were devastated how he was critical, although he was in a really bad state, we still had hope and were going to do everything and anything possible to help him recover and take him home. As soon as friends and family members found out about E, everyone came to see him because we all had so much hope and faith that he was going to come home to us. We are Catholic and all my family members would pray for him, we had so much hope and faith. There were so many nurses with great care, but one nurse stood out to me and my family. Her name is Samantha; she was a night/ overnight nurse. She has such amazing care skills and was very considerate of E's family and always asked if we needed something. Two days later, E was officially declared brain dead in the afternoon; we had lost our only brother, but now he is in heaven at peace. Samantha always made sure E was comfortable and made sure we also were. She always gave us privacy, which we appreciated. I really would like to for her to be nominated with a DAISY Award for her great care skills. We will always remember her.

She was a wonderful nurse. She always checked up on my cousin. She was always polite to us all. She sympathized with the patient’s family and their need to be with him in his critical conditions and his last days with us.

On Friday morning, we rushed as we found out my 20-year-old brother had been shot and relocated at Kaweah Health care facility. My brother E had been helped and cared for by many nurses, whom I am very grateful for, but one nurse stood out to me and my family. Samantha has been an exceptional nurse since she first introduced herself. In a way, she was very comforting and very respectable towards my brother, whose body lay there. My parents would come home and talk very well about her. They felt trust in Samantha during very hard times, which says a lot. Samantha would come in and ask respectably about my brother, calling him by his well-known nickname and trying to play music he liked to adjust some comfort in his room. My parents had talked about how she was welcoming and very willing to give of herself to them. She made my grieving process easier and that I thank her with all my heart. I may never be able to get my brother back, but she helped make the last days with him memorable. One day I really hope Samantha reads this and knows that she healed a family, she helped a 16-year-old feel better about a horrible situation.

It was an honor to have Nurse Samantha take care of my beautiful son. She is an incredible person with a heart of gold, her work is done from the heart with humility, her love for her work is reflected in the way she cares for her patients. I am grateful and blessed to her for having taken care of my son. Thank you very much for all your attention to the hospital and to all the nurses and doctors who came to my son's room; I can only say Thank you!

My brother E was a victim in a drive by shooting. That night, he was transported to Kaweah Health Hospital in an attempt to help him and save his life. But sadly, that wish was not fulfilled because a day later, he was pronounced brain dead. We had hoped that a miracle would happen, but sadly, nothing did. For days, all our family, friends, cousins, and even teachers at my school were praying for him, but unfortunately, he passed. Samantha was really kind to us and even played music for the hospital room to not be so quiet. Samantha was a real help to us, too, and is my favorite nurse here at KH Hospital. SHe is a true DAISY Nurse.
