I arrived at CDH for my SVT ablation and immediately felt impressed. Each person that I interacted with was warm and inviting and with each interaction came the growing confidence that "excellent" would be the word to describe my care there. While many people contributed to that feeling for me throughout the day, my assigned nurse, Samantha stood out as a particularly gifted member of the team. She was attentive and kind and her warm personality had a helpful, calming effect on me. She was persistent in her effort to ease my discomfort following the procedure (laying on my back for four hours without moving was much harder than I thought it would be!!). And all the while- Samantha was personable and patient. She made me feel like she was genuinely and personally concerned for my well-being. She had helpful suggestions for things to ease my discomfort without breaking the "keep laying flat" protocol. While my genuine thanks and appreciation can't be adequately expressed with words, my feelings of gratitude are so deep that I wanted to at least try!  Samantha, thank you for your excellence in nursing! And thank you so much for being part of the team that made it possible for me to come out on the other side of this procedure with a now repaired and wonderfully functioning heart!
