Having a child in the NICU is the most nerve racking, heartbreaking, roller coaster I've ever ridden. I don't know how we would've survived without Samantha. While my daughter has received excellent care from every nurse we've encountered thus far, Samantha has gone above and beyond. We live and work almost 2 hours from the hospital and while it's difficult to leave my daughter every day, I always breathe a little easier on the days that Samantha is there. In watching her interact with my daughter, it's easy to see that she genuinely loves what she does and puts her whole heart into it. Samantha has truly been a blessing to our family in the short time we've known her - from the crafts she makes to decorate our daughters bed space to patiently answering our never-ending lists of questions to keeping us informed, giving advice and calming our fears. I pray that Samantha will always be a part of my daughter's life; that my daughter will always know the nurse who bottle fed her for the first time, who dried her tears, who cared for her when we were at work and couldn't be there. Thank you Samantha, for making this roller coaster ride less scary.
