Sam went above and beyond, ensuring our grandfather's comfort. She even stayed past her shift to change his bed, bathe him, and put lotion on his skin as the day crew was short-staffed and she wanted to make sure it was done. In addition, she was exceptionally kind to our family offering blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, coffee, water, and tea. At such a difficult time these comforts meant so much. She also is an excellent listener, demonstrating her empathy and compassion through her presence and kindness. Sam is more than a nurse. She is someone who has found a calling. We hope that she is appreciated for the work she does. She certainly is by us!
