I have had the honor and privilege of working alongside Sam for many years on the second floor. I have also been witness to her countless hours of dedication to and compassionate care of her patients and their families. I had the opportunity to speak to one of Sam's former patients today who was able to catch her spirit in these words, "She was like a ray of sunshine whenever she came into the room. She is the best nurse I have ever had (and that's saying a lot because I have been in the hospital many times recently and I am a retired RN). Please make sure Sam knows how wonderful she is and that her care is greatly appreciated." It was of no surprise to hear these words of true thanks from one of Sam's previous patients. For this and so many more reasons, please recognize Sam for her care and caring of the patients entrusted to her care.
