Samantha has been great taking care of my father while here at St. Joe's. My dad has been in and out of the hospital over the past three years. He is very 'particular' with his care and knows a lot about his body and how he likes to be treated. This is very difficult for some nurses as my dad can sometimes be mean. Samantha took time to talk with him, cut his hair, groom him, and make sure he was clean and to his desired 'care' level. Most of all: she listened to him. She made him feel very 'heard' and took the time to make sure he was comfortable. Samantha wanted to make sure my dad knew what was being told to him and took time to explain what was happening with his care. Samantha has done an excellent job as my dad's nurse and we wanted to make sure that, during his last days on this Earth, she be recognized for her effort in caring for him.
