Samira Bachand, BSN

Samira's cohort members have seen her display commitment, compassion, and openness to the entire nursing cohort and all instructors at the School of Nursing. Her dedication to the field of nursing and to her patients makes her the perfect candidate for the DAISY In Training Award. She is a role model as a student and treats everyone with kindness. During clinicals, she would always take the time to ask questions to ensure that she is delivering safe and effective care. When she is unsure about something, she always asks. Samira puts her all into caring for and advocating for her patients and also has one of the kindest hearts. She is extremely selfless and always steps up for the class when no one else will.
