Samira Sanders, BSN, RN has been in critical care for the past five years. For the past three years, she has precepted and mentored newly hired nurses assisting with orientation and transitioning to their role as an ICU nurse. Samira is a warrior who is not afraid to battle the unknown which she most recently proved during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Samira was on the frontline providing care, connecting emotionally, and encouraging both her patients, their families, and her colleagues. She assisted with opening new critical care units and committed to working additional hours. Samira went above and beyond to jump in wherever she was needed. Her core values include integrity, dignity, and respect for all regardless of their race, religious background, or ethnicity.
