My 83-year-old mom has had a lot of health struggles. She ended up in the ER with sepsis, kidney failure, a horrible medication reaction, and low blood pressure. She was very uncomfortable. When she got to a room, it was right before shift change. Nurse Sammy Ferrer went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable. Sammy stayed way after her shift was over to facilitate the process with even calling a pharmacy to verify what medications and doses my mom needed. Her compassion and loving manner were so soothing to both my mom and my dad. Because of her, my mom was able to relax, and my dad was finally able to get a night of rest. We know my mom's time on earth is limited. We could not have asked for a better angel. Sammy is truly a God send to every life she touches. It is refreshing to see a professional like Sammy. Her genuine caring nature, combined with her medical knowledge, demonstrates that she treats others as if they are a dear member of her family and not just a patient.
