December 2023 Honoree
Samson Leung, BSN
Sam exemplifies the best of Huntington Hospital. He is always professional to both the nurses and the patients- often going above and beyond (getting signatures, calling doctors to resolve issues) instead of just asking bedside nursing to attend to the details; furthermore, he is extremely efficient and comes quickly to peripheral IV insertion request and to attend to PICC line issues. Sam has a wonderful, positive attitude and is a joy to work with.
Sam always has a great attitude. He’s probably the friendliest guy around and is always willing to lend a hand. He takes the time to explain what he is doing and why he is doing it to staff and students. He is a great teacher to our students, and he is an asset to the hospital; we are all lucky to have him around. Sam is compassionate and exceptionally skilled. He is always willing to go above and beyond for patients and bedside staff, even helping patients to the bathroom. He is an exemplary person and truly epitomizes the heart of nursing. It is an honor to work with him.
