On one of my visits to Flagler Hospital Sam came to me with his ultrasound machine. I have small veins and am always happy to see Sam coming. One of the times I came I told Sam my maiden name and then my married name. He found that interesting. I didn't give it another thought. The last time I came to Flagler the nurse who came to the waiting room for me was pushing me back to my room when someone said my two last names. I couldn't believe he or any of the busy people would remember a patient. Believe it or not, I have another procedure coming up and I look forward to seeing Sam and all the wonderful people I encounter on the times I've been there. Thank you to all the people in outpatient. What a great group.

I had outpatient back surgery recently. I cannot say enough about the caring staff- especially Sam Johnson. I have great problems giving blood as no one can find a good vein. But Sam Johnson came to my rescue with his ultrasound machine. He not only appreciated my anxiety but assured me that he would find a vein and not even feel the prick. He did it all with a big smile and easy humorous talk. We laughed so much that I didn't feel anything. He is a most sensitive and personable young man with a manner that can put anyone at ease. He deserves special recognition.
