Samuel is a nurse who demonstrates extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate care. This nurse exemplifies the kind of nurse that our patients, their families, and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. He has functioned in numerous roles, such as mentor, preceptor, and charge nurse. He is passionate about improving patient outcomes and staff satisfaction. He is attentive to staff concerns and delegates as needed for resolution. I know that when Samuel is in charge nurse role, our staff and patients are in extraordinary hands. He can think critically and is an excellent resource when questions arise. He manages the nurse, preceptor, or charge nurse role with a smile and is a true, trustworthy team player. Samuel is always ready to help. He has received multiple excellence cards from patients and staff, the most recent from the Rapid Assessment Team (RAT Nurse), saying, “Samuel demonstrates good clinical judgment and effective patient care during a critical situation; his nursing abilities are over the top.”
