My father was admitted with AFIB and was delirious after his surgery. My mom and I felt defeated when entering my father's room to find he was so delirious. Samuele Morton smiled and said he knew my father from prior to his surgery. He was taking care of him and said we are going to work hard today and bring him back. I brought photos of the family because Sammy said that could help. He then said he was going to get him up and walking, sending us to the waiting room. He returned to get us. We were so excited that he was up and knew who we were when we returned. My family kept my father awake, talking, listening to music, and showing pictures. Sammy never left our side. He took him for another walk, washed his hair, and brought back my father's dignity and hope. My dad still has a long recovery, but whatever he may face, I know we can overcome it because of Sammy.
