My mom has been in the hospital for almost 3 weeks. While staying here, Sandi has gone above and beyond in both physically caring for my mom, as well as mentally caring for her. My mom had surgery to remove a tumor, which led to kidney failure. The first time she went to dialysis, she had an accident and could not be cleaned up for the three hours of dialysis. By the time she came back to her room, she was very distraught. Her dignity had been compromised. Sandi patiently cleaned her up and spoke kindly to her to make her feel comfortable and to help her regain her confidence and self-esteem. From that day forward, Sandi has stopped by and checked on my mom every shift. Even when my mom has not been her patient she still made sure she is okay. Sandi even called to talk with my mom on her day off! The kind words, sweet smile, fun-loving attitude, generous hugs and overall caring nature has made my mom's extended stay much more bearable. She has just been a constant source of joy for my mom during a very trying time in her life. My mom and I appreciate her more than she can possibly know.
