I had the best care in the hands of Sandi. The compassion and respect with she has is commendable. She was always on top of my needs, my pain and emotional feelings too. I call her a complete nurse, that nurse who makes you feel like you are at home and that you have someone who cares about you. She is that kind of nurse that won't leave your room unless all your needs are completed. I saw her bending on her knees to clean the floors, to prevent me from having a fall. I saw her cleaning my bed table several times to prevent me from catching an infection. I never had to called her because when she leaves your room all your needs are covered, and then she will come back to check on you several times. She answered all my questions with a nice attitude and she did a lot of teaching regarding my in homes exercises and cleaning my drain. I felt secure with her care because she was on top of every detail, washing her hands, wearing gloves to check my wound and cleaning my IV with alcohol before inserting new medicines. Sandi is a complete wonderful nurse who makes you come back to this hospital to be under her care. She will always give that beautiful smile that makes you feel better even if you are in pain. I have to come back in two weeks to have a second mastectomy, and I am not afraid because I will probably will have her again as my nurse.
