On March 20, 2013 I was admitted to Anaheim Medical Center in the Labor and Delivery department. My experience at the medical center was phenomenal. I was handed off to Sandra Bernal who was my RN for the next 17-18 hours while I was in labor. She made my experience at Anaheim memorable. She was never impatient or curt with me, she took the time to rotate my body from side to side, so my body would not go numb from the epidural and her skills really kicked in when it was time for me to have my baby. She coached and supported me during my 90 minutes of pushing so much so that I felt I was having my baby at home with a great friend and my husband, it never felt like I was at the hospital. I really appreciated the fact the she was able to stay by my side through my 17 hour labor experience, this made me feel so special.
