Sandra Dave has been an adjunct nursing instructor at Concordia College-New York since 2010.  She is a seasoned teacher and devoted to her students. Here are some of the student nominations that show she truly deserves the DAISY Faculty Award.
I spent two weeks working with Ms. Dave in India this past summer.  On countless occasions, I was impressed with her intelligence and character.  She is an extraordinary nurse and teacher. While I was in India, she was dedicated to our learning -she always stood back, quietly observing, allowing us to do our job -only intervening when necessary or when we asked. After each situation, she always had a lesson to teach us about what we had just experienced.
Sandra Dave is deeply invested in teaching and helping her students. She is also passionate about learning and keeping up to date with current research in the medical field.  Her intelligence is truly remarkable. But what I most admire about her is her intuition.  On many occasions Ms. Dave was able to sense when I was having difficulty and without judgment she would help me through the task.  She had a way of making me feel comfortable and never embarrassed by my mistakes. Those moments have made me a more confident nurse and I am forever grateful.
Sandra Dave is one of the most patient, kind and honorable people I have ever met. She is an inspiration to me as well as the rest of the people I traveled to India with. She made us all better nurses.  Sandra Dave is an incredible nurse, teacher and individual.  It was truly an honor to work with her as it is a privilege to know her.  And that is why I am nominating Sandra Dave for the DAISY Faculty Award.
