I had Surgery at Eden and Sandra Dlaka was my pre-op nurse. I have had a lot of surgeries and I know I have bad veins and nobody can get an IV in me. Usually the nurses do not listen, poke me three or four times then get an IV nurse. Sandra listened and told me that would not happen today. She immediately put warm compresses on my arms and called the PICC line nurse to come and start my IV. Sandra let me keep my glasses which most nurses do not so I was not blind while I was waiting to go to surgery. That allowed me to relax and watch TV while I waited. After my surgery Sandra stopped by and visited me to see how I was doing. She made me feel important, safe, and well cared for. She did so much more than I am able to mention here. Sandra is the best nurse I ever had. She made surgery a wonderful experience and that is not easy to do!
