Ms. Vandiver received a total of 7 nominations for the DAISY award. Sandra fills the role of day-shift Assistant Director of Nursing (aka Nursing Supervisor). Prior to this role, she was the manager for the Obstetrical Unit. Sandra has over 30 years of nursing experience and has been part of the Stephens County Hospital nursing team since 1991 when she started here as a nurse tech.

The nomination forms the committee had the pleasure of reviewing contained remarks like, "Versatile", "remains calm in every situation", "her bedside manner is unmatched", "always willing to help whenever and where ever needed", and "a stabilizing component of the hospital" and lastly, "one of the best nurses I know".

It was an honor to announce Sandra Vandiver as our hospital's Inaugural DAISY Award Honoree and she received a standing ovation from all those in attendance at our ceremony. Sandra's family was also present to share in this recognition.
