Sandra Garcia, RN

Sandra Garcia makes an excellent charge nurse. Sandra stands up for the team and efficiently manages the department, even under extremely difficult circumstances (boarding, shortages, EMS surges). Sandra is self-driven and also drives the nurses and providers to keep things moving. Sandra takes ownership of 8 of her own patients while also managing the department. She does so without complaint. She doesn’t have to and it’s not what Sandra signed up for, but Sandra gets the big picture- we do this for the patients. Sandra can do multiple jobs; charge, FC nurse, and primary RN all at once. We truly appreciate Sandra’s work ethic, diligence, and stamina. Sandra brings a feeling of relief when we realize she is in charge. She is a great communicator, responsive, and asks as much of us as we do of her. Grace and Grit.
