I want to take a moment to recognize Sandra Hawkins for performing an action that may have seemed secondary but took a huge weight off me and allowed me to navigate the rest of my way through the shift. Sandra offered support and guidance throughout my shift that helped me navigate my first "end-of-life" moment for one of my patients that I had been with for several days. Above that, Sandra took the time to offer and provide postmortem care while I finished navigating my way through providing support to the family and "end-of-life" procedure/paperwork.

Thank you for always being a consistent support to our unit. These actions may appear to be just a simple act of kindness for Sandra but they speak volumes to not only the care you provide to your assigned patients, but how much your heart extends towards your fellow nurses, their patients, and families.
