Sandra Lacy, RN

In June, I came in for my scheduled induction for medical reasons that completely crushed all the hopes I had for going into labor on my own to deliver my first baby. I was full of anxiety and fear going into the hospital that night. However, the nurses that I had during my labor were phenomenal and beyond what I could have even asked for. Sandra was my night shift nurse and she was truly the embodiment of what a nurse could be. She made sure to be exactly what I needed her to be every step of the way. She was reassuring when I was deciding to get my epidural and comforting throughout the process of my epidural being placed. She spoke to me in such a kind tone and never once made me feel like a burden to her. I felt like I was talking to a friend and that was exactly what I needed. I started that night totally full of fear, and by the time she left, I was totally calm and ready for the rest of my labor. I couldn’t ever say thank you enough to her. It brings me to tears to think about how thankful I am to Sandra for the care she gave me during my stay on Labor & Delivery. Sandra deserves to be recognized for the nurse that they were to me and for their hard work. She is the nurse that every woman could hope to have.
