Sandra Lively, RN, CEN

Sandra embodied Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ when she took the extra time to help a patient in pain. The patient had been admitted to the emergency department and desperately needed his PICC line replaced. The patient had previously undergone an amputation of one of his legs and needed the PICC line to administer antibiotic infusions. Any movement at all was causing him excruciating pain. The ER Clinical Nurse Supervisor knew that Sandra was trained to replace PICC lines so she walked over to imaging and requested her help. Sandra was just about to leave from her shift, but she stayed and helped the patient. “Though this was not an emergency, her kindness and compassion really helped save this patient from inconvenience and pain. Sandra is a phenomenal resource to our hospital and an amazing nurse.”
