I overheard Sanda Guarnieri, with great patience and empathy, working with a patient and an interpreter on the phone to give her all the necessary care and instructions and to make her feel safe and informed. She met the patient's need of not wanting to be seen on camera by the interpreter, and when they lost connection, she patiently reconnected and graciously stayed with it. I appreciate how she dealt with the cultural and language differences and maintained a quality of care throughout.
