I came in with a bee sting in anaphylaxis today. Before Sandra came into my room, I felt looked past and like just another patient. Once Sandra entered that all changed. She immediately noticed me and that I needed a pillow. She got me a pillow and a warm blanket. She adjusted my bed to make sure I was comfy. Once she gave me my medication, she asked if I wanted the lights dimmed and the door closed so I could rest easier. Being taken care of by Sandra felt like being taken care of by my mom. I hope I get her as my nurse any time I am here.
