After a difficult c-section, our baby girl needed NICU support and Sandra with a nursing student were her nurses on Day 2. They were examining and monitoring her for feeding. Their attention to detail resulted in catching a life-threatening condition that we were not aware our child had. They noticed her heart wasn't where it should be and alerted staff to take further x-rays and tests. They discovered her bowels were in her chest causing breathing problems. They delivered this horrendous news the best they could and helped to transfer our baby to children's hospital.
Sandra let my family see her before they life flighted her and was there when my family needed some serious support. My family owes so much gratitude to her for paying such close attention to catch this life-threatening condition. I don't know how I could ever thank her enough for discovering this and helping us through one of the most difficult experiences in our lives. We will never forget her and the staff that helped save our little girl. I'm a big believer in things happen for a reason and our girl was meant to be here to make sure she got the care she needed at the time she needed it. Thank you so much, Sandra.
