Sandra "Sam" Hanson, BSN, RN

Sam exemplifies compassion and empathy. Especially when it came to the care of an elderly patient who came to Clay in error for her pre-admission testing appointment. As the Ortho-Navigator, she managed to find out where the patient needed to be, arranged transport, and calmed the patient down as she was in a full-blown panic attack and very upset. Despite the language barrier with the patient, the patient left feeling secure and calm and expressed sincere gratitude to Sam for helping her.
