Little did Sandra know when she was at the Chris Larsen Park playing with her grandchildren that she would save a life. July 18th was a beautiful day and Sandy was playing with her grandchildren. She saw a man down on the opposite end of the park with people standing around him, Sandra went to help and performed CPR all alone until the ambulance and paramedics arrived. The patient was taken to Mercy Medical Center. The next day the family inquired who the nurse was who saved their loved one. Sandra was notified that the family wished to meet her. She did meet up with the family and if you know Sandra she is very caring and compassionate. I understand that tears were shared and hugs were abundant. The most important point in all this is: Sandra didn't come to work and talk about this; this was just another day where she gave of herself without any expectations in return. Thank you Sandra.
