Sandra Weekes, Registered Midwife

Sandra was my daughter-in-law's midwife from the start of pregnancy. Sandra not only bought her knowledge and experience, but she also bought calmness and consistency in care for what was going to be a turbulent journey. I believe Sandra was the best midwife for our family because Sandra showed compassion, and listened to us and our anxieties. Sandra went out of her way to meet our needs by always being available 24/7. She planned and booked our 9 months ahead and this included the ANC so we knew what to expect.

Some of Sandra's qualities I observed were the following:
Understanding and caring attitude
Trustworthy
Supported us with her emotional and mental strength
Patience
Professionalism
An open mind and flexible attitude and showed respect for our needs

The list is endless but I do believe Sandra was a blessing in disguise for she was the right Midwife for us. Our relationship was cut short as Baby K came early but Sandra was on it from the beginning and advised and supported immensely. I would like Sandra to be receiving the DAISY award because Sandra, like the flower, symbolises motherhood and childbirth and through that was associated with love & caring. Thank you, Sandra
