Sandra has a kind and generous heart for both her patients and her co-workers, which is a quality admired by all.
A few weeks ago Sandra was assigned to care for an elderly patient who was brought to the hospital from her home at Avante. When the family saw the patient, they were so upset to see how poorly their mother looked. The family was especially upset the mother looked like she had not been properly bathed in weeks. During Sandra's busy shift, she made time to sit with the family and discuss their concerns. Sandra then spent a significant amount of time using bath wipes to give the patient a bath. The family was so thankful to Sandra and asked where they could buy those bath wipes, so they could use them on their mom. A week later, Sandra went home and ordered a box of the bath wipes and sent it to the family.
Not only does Sandra represent the heart of compassion for her patients while at work, but she continues to care for them even after their visit ended.
