My mother was admitted to the hospital and Sandy was one of her nurses the few days she was there. We found out on Saturday that Mom had colon cancer. Sandy came in and talked with us, she was wonderful with Mom. When Sandy came back after a few days off, we weren't lucky to get her again. Mom had her surgery a few days after and she wasn't doing well. But Sandy came by to check on her and it made Mom's day. The rest of Mom's time there, we never had Sandy again, but she would always come and check on my mom to see if we needed anything. The next month, my husband was admitted, and Sandy wasn't his nurse but we ran into her in the hallway. While she was there she would take time and come check on him. She truly takes her job to heart and makes sure her patients are taken care of and makes sure they and the family have what is needed. She truly can take the stress and concern away and we need more nurses like Sandy.
