Sandy came into our lives during a 23 day stay in Baptist Health, when my husband had a bad case of pneumonia. We had wonderful nurses and staff, but from her first shift with us her high level of professionalism and caring compassion showed in the care she provided. Her sweet nature, as well as her friendly ways, makes her a pleasure to be around.

Sandy's nursing skill was excellent at all times. From the start of her shift to 12 hours later when it ended, her dedication to patient care never wavered. Sandy is always kind and respectful. She always used sir and ma'am at the end of a sentence. With every week that passed and every shift she had with us, we could tell that she was glad to see us, but disappointed that we were still there. We could not help but get attached to her wonderful smiles when progress was made.

During her excellent care of my husband we would share stories of our lives. Sandy listened like a best friend. Often I would delight in making her laugh and she in turn showed me such warmth and kindness. Sandy always asked if there was anything she could do for us. We knew she meant it, even offering to get us something on her own time. Her offer was heartfelt and touched us deeply. Sandy made us feel special during our stay. She made us feel at home! She will always have a special place in our heart!
